Backgrounds are almost here!

You’ll notice a new module has been added to your Slate web dashboard; Backgrounds. You are now able to start adding colors, images and videos as backgrounds to your Slate dashboard and soon these backgrounds will be able to be accessed in your mobile app. The backgrounds functionality in your mobile app will be launched mid July.

Backgrounds are an easy way for you to quickly create collages, title slides, borders or even use as repost backgrounds on IG.

To get started, drag and drop image/video files you’d like to use as backgrounds into the backgrounds module. You can also hit the [+] button and then choose to upload a file or add a hex value as a background option. Colors you add to your ‘Brand Colors’ module will automatically be added as background options going forward.

Once you upload an image as a background, all 4 dimension (9×16, 4×5, 1×1, and 16×9) will automatically be added using that image. You can then hit the adjust icon to re-crop the image as you would like it for that dimension or choose to delete the image for that dimension entirely.
